YES! The economy is in bad shape! Lots of people hurting! Unemployment rate very high! Real estate values way down in many places! On and on and on! But…….BUT…..in this presidential election…….IT'S NOT THE ECONOMY, STUPID!
There are some very simple realities which apparently everybody is afraid to admit or speak about or even recognize. How about these concepts?
- Nearly all blacks voted for Obama simply because most of them accept him as being black (when he may be half black) and he represents a government of handouts.
- Nearly all Hispanics voted for Obama, not for his stand (or lack of a stand) on immigration, but rather because they may “identify” with blacks and, too, like being beneficiaries of government handouts.
- Most of the “young” single (not married) voters, female and male, have been indoctrinated by the left wing academia.
- Most of the “young” single female voters see Obama as “hot” while they see Romney as “father or grandfather”.
- There is some percentage of the white population who simply see Obama as a continuation of government handouts. There are more raw realities but those are enough to provoke thought.
If… IF… IF…
- half of the voting blacks had voted for no other reason than what's best for the country…
- half of the voting Hispanics had voted for no other reason that what's best for the country…
- half of the “young” single female and male voters had voted for no other reason that what's best for the country…
- half of the “young” single female voters had voted for no other reason than what's best for the country…
- half of the voting whites had voted for no other reason that what's best for the country… then Obama would have received half, or less, of the votes he did receive and Romney would have received more than twice the votes he received.
I know… I know… I know! That's asking just too much of the approximately one hundred twenty million people who did vote. Especially when most of them are not well enough informed to make an intelligent vote based upon what's best for the country. Here's an example of that. I asked a seventy two year old man who is educated, gives the impression of being intelligent and is financially stable… “Why did you vote for Barack Obama?”… his answer, and this is an exact quote… “I feel that the country may have a chance under the leadership of this man.” I was dumbfounded and didn't respond. What the hell does that mean?
It's going to be interesting to see how Obama tries to use the office of President in pursuit of his ideology…whatever his ideology is.
