COLLECTIVE BARGAINING RIGHTS/RIGHT TO WORK

How could so many intelligent people be so wrong on such a simple premise? Well, it’s not possible for so many intelligent people to be so wrong on such a simple premise. So, that means that a lot of less than intelligent people are the ones who have it wrong on such a simple premise.

Here’s the deal. There is no such thing as collective bargaining “rights”… no matter how you try to cut it. Okay… okay… okay. Some state legislatures have passed laws regarding collective bargaining which, in some instances did include the word “rights” and other collective bargaining legislation didn’t include the word “rights” but became commonly, though incorrectly, referred to as “rights”. But just because there are laws which support collective bargaining does not mean that those laws have the power to create or grant “rights”. It’s way past time that everyone, politicians, media people, union “leaders”, union members… everyone… stop using the word “rights” when talking about collective bargaining. The truth is all those laws did nothing but give organizations the PRIVILEGE of collective bargaining.

You got it? It is a PRIVILEGE. Simply because the sate, no state, not the federal government, not any of them, can create or grant “rights” by
legislation. You got it?

Now, the other matter… “right” to work. That is a right. Not created, granted or legislated by any governmental entity… but a “natural” right. Therefore it’s idiotic for states to think, or believe, they can pass laws to create or grant a “right to work”. The right already existed… long BEFORE there ever was a state or a country. Don’t get me wrong… the state(s) and the federal government have a mandated obligation to protect the right to work. But there is no law needed to create or grant a right to work. It’s just that simple.

If a state government or the federal government does anything which might in any way impede or infringe upon or not protect the right to work, then that government is in contempt of a basic human right.

The conclusion? Simple. There is no such thing as collective bargaining “rights”. Only collective bargaining privileges. And there is such a thing as the right to work. And it needs no legislation to make it a reality.

So all you politicians in all fifty states and the federal government… stop the crap. Set the record straight. Oooooooops. That’s asking for something that probably will never happen.
