RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT

I have news for everyone. Especially all the TV talking heads and radio talk show hosts and radio/TV pundits and newspaper/magazine writers/editors……………………………………..

There ain’t no one…….nope….not one person…….narry a soul……nobody, nowhere, noway, RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT.

There are a bunch of people who are RUNNING FOR POLITICAL PARTY NOMINATION. But, to repeat…….they ARE NOT RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT.

There will be some people RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT next year……after……repeat, AFTER, the political parties have nominated candidates to RUN FOR PRESIDENT.

I am sick and tired of the phony aggrandizement and titles bestowed upon politicians and government “officials”. Examples: John Bolton……..a super intelligent guy……..has his head screwed on straight about all the international problems involving America………is not….repeat….IS NOT “ambassador”. Yes, he used to be an ambassador. But he ain’t no more. Newt Gingrich is not “Mister Speaker’…….he was. But he aint’ no more. William Jefferson Clinton IS NOT “Mister President”. He was. But he ain’t no more. It goes for judges, too. Andrew Napolitano is a brilliant and admirable guy. But he is no longer a judge. So, anyone who refers to him as “judge” is simply lying. And on and on and on and on.

The point is that over a long period of time, we have allowed people to retain a title after they are no longer in the position of that title. It’s simply wrong. It’s fake. It’s phony. And it may even be illegal. I don’t know of anything in the CONSTITUTION or any “regulation” or any legislation that says a public servant, elected or appointed, can retain the title of the position after the person is no longer in that position. There isn’t one of these elected or appointed  “titles” which is actually earned by the person elected or appointed to the “office”. It’s the title of the office……NOT the individual. It ain’t like an academic achievement……….which is earned and becomes part of the individual’s moniker.

Remember……..when a person is elected President Of The United States………it’s “Mister/Madame President”…..but only as long as the person is President. Once that period of service is completed, it’s CITIZEN. PERIOD ! That goes for every other office or position in government service. City, county, state, federal. PERIOD !
