G.O.P. DEBATE ? NOPE !

This commentator did watch the G.O.P. “debate” Thursday, January 28, 2016. The entire thing. Both events. The one called “the undercard” and the main event. It was not….repeat, WAS NOT….. a debate. it was more of an interrogation. What were called moderators were not moderators. More like interrogators. Especially Megyn Kelly. Why did the event have to open with the first question being about “the elephant not in the room” (blatantly cheap shot at Donald Trump)? Why did that non-journalism question have to be delivered by the one person who should not have delivered it? It went down hill from that irresponsible opening. Even Chris Wallace revealed that he really isn’t as intellectual as he presents himself to be. When the “moderator team” was challenged by a candidate, Mister Wallace interrupted with this statement, verbatim, “This is a debate, sir.” Mister Wallace adopted a rather smug, “gonna teach you” appearance and tone. Bret Baier wasn’t in “attack mode” like Kelly, but did contribute to the interrogation. It seems that these three interrogators, as well as all the others who have pretended to be “moderators”, spent a lot of time concocting their lengthy statements of allegations ending with an unanswerable question. Like this……….”Mister So-And-So, you were accused of killing your neighbor’s dog, embezzling from your super pac, having an affair with a minor, hiring undocumented workers to do your lawn care, lied about your income on your 1986 income tax return…….how will you, as President, guarantee that California gets its fair share of rainfall?” Then there’s the matter of who decided to have an illegal alien and a Bernie Sanders supporter ask non-questions in a video. Who came up with that idiotic idea? Who approved it? Who paid for it? Why the hell does the Republican National Committee allow such obvious degradation of such important events? Allowing all this crap is just part of the decline of America.
