GROUP IGNORANCE

There was a glaring display of GROUP IGNORANCE during ABC’s Saturday night G.O.P. debate (it ain’t a debate). Some of the audience (which was apparently “stacked”) booed Donald Trump on his defense of eminent domain. That was when Jeb Bush made the false statement that Trump had used eminent domain to get a widow lady’s house. As reported in the January 23, 2016 FAIR CHRONICLES posting…….Trump did not take the old lady’s house through eminent domain or by any other means. Just didn’t happen. Those in the audience who booed Trump are clearly ignorant. Ignorant of what eminent domain is and ignorant of the fact that Trump didn’t take the old lady’s house. AND…..AND…..ignorant of the fact that there wouldn’t be any roads, bridges, hospitals, railroads, et cetera, without eminent domain. Of course there are instances of eminent domain being abused. But eminent domain can be abused only when public officials (judges, politicians, bureaucrats) allow the abuse. To make matters worse, Jeb Bush displayed some ignorance also when he argued that the Keystone Pipeline is a public project. And Trump tried to correct him several times by pointing out that the Keystone Pipeline is not….repeat, IS NOT…..a public project…..but rather a private enterprise project. Point? A bunch of the people in the audience are just plain ignorant. Point? Jeb Bush is a little short on information. Point? Ignorant people supporting uninformed people.
