John, Mister McCain, Senator McCain……..you are an American hero for surviving a North Viet Nam prison for five years………you deserve some (maybe not much) respect as a United States Senator (maybe for too long)……….you apparently can “walk and chew gum at the same time”……….but you really did screw up when you made the “that’s how dictators get started” comment. Are you really stupid enough to interpret President Trump’s comments about the mostly dishonest media/press as being the beginnings of a dictatorship? The truth is…..the facts are…….President Trump was, and has been, being extremely honest in challenging the “fake news”….dishonest…..clearly anti-Trump media/press. He has not….repeat….HAS NOT……been seeking to eliminate a free press….as you and others are claiming. He is clearly for a free press. Even an adversarial press. But he is firmly against the clearly dishonest, lying, deceptive, media/press which has become so transparently anti-Trump. With so-called “journalists” willing…..eager……to deliver absolute garbage as “news”. TV personalities. Newspaper reporters and editors. Free lance pundits. It’s shocking how many of them are so eager to report crap that is just crap. Who gives a damn if President Trump does walk through the white house in a robe. After all he does live there. And he has a perfect right to walk around in his bathrobe. Or……all the false, dishonest, reports about anything Russian. Or the phony reports of “white house chaos”. John…….President Trump is the only honest person on the political scene right now. Including you. He is fighting for a free press…..by citing the fact that we have a “fake news” press. If a free press is not honest……then we do not have a free press. You…..yes you, Senator McCain…..should be screaming from your powerful senator position that the free press must be an honest press. If you don’t back President Trump in his pursuit of an honest free press…..then you, along with the dishonest press, are an enemy of America. Be honest, Senator McCain. Take the high road to demand a free and HONEST press instead of taking cheap shots at President Trump. You owe it to him. If nothing else for defeating the Democrat Party……which you failed to do.
