Well, the second and last Presidential debate of the 2020 election looked and sounded a little different. But overall, if you did listen and look closely, clear pictures of the two candidates did emerge.
It was extremely “civil”. Both candidates did respect the new rule of no interruptions during the two minutes of each candidate’s response to the moderator’s question. The moderator was widely praised for doing a good job.
The truth, TRUTH, is she was guilty of placing her thumb on the scales. Not just once, but many times. Just the way she worded her questions when analyzed, was an attempt to give advantage to the former Vice President, and an attempt to give a negative complexion to President Trump.
The moderator actually did interrupt both candidates. In some instances, talking over the speaker to cut responses short. How many interruptions? There are reliable sources that report the moderator, Welker, interrupted President Trump twenty- four times. Yup! She stopped the President twenty-four times. Stepped on his line of thought. Prevented the President from finishing a thought that might have been more important than her need to interrupt.
Then, her interruptions of the former Vice President tells a lot about her purported professionalism. She, the moderator, Welker, interrupted the Vice President a whopping two times. Yup! TWICE. That’s what reliable fact checking sources report.
So, what impact did the moderator have upon the debate, you ask?
Nobody knows for sure. But, it’s clear the moderator, Welker, displayed at least slanted opinions of the candidates. Can you guess which way the slant was? After you get past the subject of the moderator, there’s the matter of “content”. President Trump seemed to have two messages. One message being an attempt to give the public some information about corruption. How there is evidence from reliable sources that former Vice President Biden was apparently involved in some seriously bad activities during and after he was Vice President.
The majority of the President’s time was spent talking about how the government is supposed to benefit citizens. Not citizens benefitting government. And all the things, policies, that have been accomplished during the first forty-seven months of the Trump administration. While the former Vice President spewed typical classic political, bureaucratic, babble. “If you elect me, the government will do everything for everybody”. “Free everything for everybody”. “Come on, man”. “in fact blah, blah, blah, blah”. The fact is blah, blah, blah, blah”.
Maybe the most important element of the second of two debates was the “appearance” of the two individuals.
One of them, President Trump, showed an apparent wealth of energy, and the ability to speak flawlessly and fluently. The other, former Vice President Biden, appeared to be a shell of an elderly man who is short of energy. And lacks the ability to deliver a flawless fluent speech.
The most obvious question is………………what did Senator Joe Biden and Vice President Joe Biden do during the forty-seven years he “served”?
The most obvious answer is………….”NOT MUCH”, other than saying all the politically correct garbage necessary to get elected and re-elected several times. And of course, his forty-seven years of “service” cost the taxpayers millions and millions of dollars.
You ask what did President Trump do?
Whatever America needed done. Not everything. But he did nothing but work to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN. And he didn’t charge the taxpayers one dime. Not one penny.
That’s quite a bargain.
