Let’s talk about ballots, not candidates.
What is a ballot? It’s a piece of paper. A piece of paper used by a person who should be qualified to vote. Vote in various elections, held from time to time, in the United States Of American to indicate whom that qualified person is voting for.
So, a ballot is an inanimate object. It’s just a “blank” piece of paper. If a ballot is an inanimate object, completely unable to do anything, unable to perform any task or function, by itself, how does it become an integral component of an election?
A ballot, by itself, on its own, cannot…..repeat…..CANNOT……. have anything to do with the outcome of an election. But, the poor, lifeless, inanimate, ballot has been forced to become the “star”, the most important, part of the 2020 presidential election. How did that happen? Simple.
Human beings. Most good. Some bad. People. Most good. Some bad. There are even a few human beings, people, in various stages of the election process who are willing and able to commit criminal acts by misusing, abusing, the poor, defenseless, ballot.
Yup. People are the problems.
Here’s how that works. In the first place, some politicians and bureaucrats, probably mostly Democrats, have, over time, been able to have most states do what are called “mail-in” ballots. Mass mail blank pieces of paper, ballots, to millions of people. Regardless of whether or not those people have been determined to be qualified voters or even citizens. Not the legal “absentee ballots”. “Absentee ballots” are almost, ALMOST, “PURE” ballots. Just mass-mailed blank pieces of paper.
You want anecdotal reports? Okay. A couple in Pennsylvania reported that they received five, yes, five, of those mass mail ballots in their mailbox. Delivered by the United States Postal Service. Two of the ballots actually had the names of the man and wife with their correct residential address. Three of the ballots had their street address but names that neither the man or wife ever heard of. Then there’s the single, octogenarian, gentleman in a small town in Kansas who received three ballots in his mailbox. All three with his street, city, state address. But none, NONE, with his name. All three had names that could not have been associated with his address since he had resided at the address for many years.
Incidentally, that elderly gentleman voted in person.
These are just two examples of how stupid the mass mail thing is. Let’s move on.
So, individuals who did receive correctly named and addressed mass mail ballots did check their choices on the ballot and put it back in a mailbox. But, they didn’t put it in the mailbox, mail it, until the day before election day, election day of, or the day after election day. No matter the reason. It just didn’t get mailed in time to comply with voting rules.
One of those voting rules is that all, ALL, not some, but ALL votes must be made on election day. No other votes should be counted. In-person voting is easy to verify. Show up on election day, verify who you are. Vote. That’s a “PURE” ballot. Nobody can show up at a polling location after election day and expect to vote. It just ain’t supposed to work that you, or anyone, can show up whenever you feel like it. Election day, voting day only.
The same should be the rule for those pesky mail-in ballots. Hence, what should be “legal” or “PURE” ballots? Voter identification verified. Signature verified. Date received verified. Nothing less. If the identification, signature, date ain’t verified, without question, then it ain’t a “legal” or “PURE” ballot. Should not be counted.
If you, yes YOU, want honest, fair, legal, elections, then you are for “PURE” ballots. If you, yes, YOU don’t demand “PURE” ballots, what are you?
